Woods

I've been picking up little free-flooring-sample-squares from Home Depot for the kids to paint on.  Isaac and Gracie decided to make a series of tree paintings on them.  I love the variety they've come up with!  Here are a few examples (you can click on any of them to get a closer look...)

Great work, great blog. I particularly like Double by Gracie, Breakfast by Isaac, Star Gazing by Lily and Elijah's smiling Robot. Wonderful.

I love these! I'm currently working on a short animated film where there has to be a forest completely populated with trees.. This is good inspiration!

You kids are amazing!! And how clever is your dad picking up flooring samples! Awesome-- they look great as a collage.

I love this! It gives me inspiration for the homeschool art co-op we do. I love the irony of the wood grain that is a background to the colorful painted tree!
